In Hope Lies Revolution
This risograph print (2024) is part of a limited edition of 50 prints created in response to the horrific events unfolding in Palestine. The Arabic typography في الأمل ثورة (In Hope Lies Revolution) is stamped on an illustration of an olive branch. Palestine is home to some of the world’s oldest olive trees, they are also an integral part of Palestinian traditions, culture, and livelihoods. The olive trees are a symbol of resistance because of their profound connection to their land, as they are targeted and destroyed as a form of occupation.
